Link Credit Union Event, Mullagh – 11^th September 2024

Kingscourt Credit Union is part of the Link Credit Union group in County Cavan, with offices also in Cootehill and Bailieboro.

Following a number of Retrofit Ready events in East Cavan at which the local Credit Unions were represented, the Unions wanted to be on board and were delighted to do so, on the basis that they had launched their new Green Loan campaign. This loan covers all aspects of home renovations and retrofitting.

When at events the Credit Unions got a great reaction from the attendees who attended these energy events. The interest shown by the general public prompted the Link Credit Union (Cootehill Branch) to host their own promotional event in Cootehill on Wednesday 10^th April 2024.

An invitation was extended to Retrofit Ready to attend this event with an information stand, together with other exhabitors. This invitation was accepted by the Retrofit Ready team.

Given the success of the Cootehill event, Link Credit Union (Kingscourt Branch) organised a similar energy event in Mullagh Community Hall, Co. Cavan for Wednesday 11^th September from 7.00pm to 9.30pm. As before Retrofit Ready was invited to attend.

Event.

This turned out to be a informal, well organised and well attended event. Attendees mixed and mingled with all exhibitors picking up, knowledge, information leaflets and the way forward regarding retrofitting.

The Retrofit Ready stand was located in a good spot and was busy with attendees’ interest, mainly, focused on retrofitting grants. A number of follow-ups is required and these will receive immediate attention.

The event commenced at 7.00pm and continued until 9.30 pm approximately.
